The National Coastal and Estuarine Summit is the largest international gathering of coastal professionals. The Summit brings together a unique blend of people who are involved in policy, science, strategy, business, and on-the-ground restoration and management for a week of networking, learning, and hands-on opportunities. This activity book was made possible through a grant from the Cooperative Institute for Coastal and Estuarine Environmental Technology (CICEET), as part of its Living Coasts Program. CICEET works with NOAA’s National Estuarine Research Reserve System to develop tools for clean water and healthy coastal environments nationwide.

Treatise on estuarine and coastal science. The study of estuaries and coasts has seen enormous growth in recent years, since changes in these areas have a large effect on the food chain, as well as on the physics and chemistry of the ocean. As the coasts and river banks around the world become more densely populated, the pressure on these ecosystems intensifies, putting a new focus on environmental, socio .
